The Mums, Tums & Tots group offers fellowship, sharing and caring for mums and fun and friendships for their little ones. Discipling is a Biblical principle, so our meetings aren’t only about meeting new friends and forming lasting friendships – you’ll also receive some practical advice on raising kids God’s way. Notwithstanding the fact that those who come along have – or are expecting – children, what unites us is our desire to raise our children to become sons and daughters of the Lord.

Prayer is important in building ourselves up spiritually to cope with the challenges of motherhood: we share and support each other with prayer, scripture and words of encouragement.

Speakers are sometimes invited to share with us on subjects such as nutrition; First Aid for babies and toddlers; how to find time for quiet moments to yourself (first-time mums need to learn the art very quickly!); baby massage; how to pray for your child; accepting and supporting children with different characters; and disciplining your child.

The meeting isn’t just for mums, however: toddlers get an opportunity to socialise with kids their own age, and it’s amazing to see how quickly bonds are formed. They are often an inspiration to adults, who can find it difficult to open up to others or are too shy to ask for help when it’s needed most. Kids have no problem accepting others the way they are, and have no regard for status, wealth, education, nationality and so on.

Activities for children include baking biscuits, T-shirt painting, games to improve big motor skills, water play and whatever seems a good idea at the time!

We meet every second Monday at the church villa, at 9.45am. Expecting mothers, new mums and toddlers are all welcome to join us. Please consult the Monthly Calendar to confirm the date and time of our next meeting.
