“What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, ‘Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (James 2:14-17)

Well Of Life’s Care Ministry is, as the name suggests, a ministry of caring for those in need. It’s a practical ministry that seeks to help by giving of our time and resources – be it food, clothes or other forms of aid and by developing friendships, so that those in need can experience the love of Jesus Christ.

As followers of Jesus, we are instructed to help the poor, the sick and the otherwise needy. Paul says, “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’” (Acts 20:35).

But we must give in love; we must give from our hearts; we must give according to our means, beginning with our brothers and sisters in Christ; and we must give prayerfully, as the Lord directs us. In doing so, we have the privilege of demonstrating the Father’s love to those who may not know him.

Well Of Life’s Care Ministry is in keeping with the word of God, helping those within the church where there is a genuine need. In the wider community, we help a Dubai women’s shelter with fresh fruit and other food items donated by members of the church through the Home Groups.
